I was at a crossroads in my career when Ny contacted me. I didn’t enjoy my job at the time, and was considering leaving the branch completely. But Ny invited me to an interview, and told me about their work and the company. They peeked my interest for this job yet again, and helped me realize what I like and want to do. Today, I’m very pleased about my decision. At Ny it’s easy to feel appreciated. Their attitude towards their employees is more about them being happy that we all work here, rather than that we should be happy to work here, and that makes a huge difference.
I’ve worked in both large and small agencies before, and one of the biggest differences I’ve noticed is that in a larger agency everyone has the opportunity to do whatever they are best at. To me, this means that we have every opportunity to make every project a great one.
I was part of the Swedish cross-country skiing elite’s annual wrap-up party in the early 2000s. I think that might have been the only time they really got to unleash and relax that year, and the things we saw were perhaps a bit outside the borders of their normal everyday life, I think.
Have fun. Don’t force anything, because if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t – and life’s too short.
