The best part of my job is when we create something the clients are amazed by. When you can see in their faces that the penny has dropped, and that what we’ve produced is beyond their expectations.
I was in my twenties when I started my own agency with a few friends. I wanted to test my boundaries and see how far I could go – and it was an incredibly educational time for me. You sometimes have to put your own interests and preferences aside.
Three years after I came back to Ny Studio, they asked me if I wanted to become a partner. This time I knew exactly what I was getting into, and while considering my experiences, I tried to be clear about my preconditions. I wanted to create a work place where I would enjoy being an employee – and that I could be proud of, as one of the partners.
They wrote about me in a book called The Historical Memories and Culture of Dalarna – or something like that – because I started painting graffiti pretty early, and had a part in bringing that culture to Dalarna. But the name of that book really makes me sound like I’m a hundred years old.
Listen, dare and never be satisfied. You should of course enjoy the happy moments, but even when you’re the best, there are things you can improve on.
