Martin Hèrma Ny Studio

I am a somewhat restless person. I like mixing physical work into my day, so that I’m not stuck in front of a computer all day. For me, Ny is a good fit because they take into account what I actually enjoy doing. I think that’s particularly important to millennials, since we have this mindset of not settling for a job we don’t enjoy. Perhaps that also makes us more up front about what we do – and what we don’t – want to be doing. You spend eight hours at work every day, and I think it’s important to do something that’s fun and stimulating.

I never really had a plan about where I wanted to end up in life. I do what I think is fun at the moment, and then I’ll see where it takes me. Quite often, it’ll result in a gradual chance and development. One thing leds to another and photography and graphics eventually peeked my interest, and now I’m here – taking pictures, throwing paint and asking dumb questions.

I can whistle with my nose.

Take one step at a time. Slightly angle them in a direction that interests you, and whatever happens, happens.
