I started off as an accountant here at Ny, and it’s been quite a journey. It began when my husband and I decided to move from Stockholm while I was still on maternity leave, which meant that I didn’t really have a job to go back to. But I found Ny’s vacancy advert, and I was actually the very first accountant they hired, and because of that I had a great opportunity to shape the economics department together with the owners.
I felt very passionate about Ny, perhaps more than you normally would as an employee. I had a lot of ideas, and I cared about the well-fair of both the company and employees. Eventually they asked me to become a partner, and I was very nervous about it at first. But I am so glad that I had the courage to do it. I think that being a team of five partners, each with a different set of skills and working within different disciplines, is incredibly valuable and important. It gives us a great understanding of the company as a whole, and I feel very proud to be a part of it.
I worked as a landscaper in Honolulu, Hawaii for six months.
Action speaks louder.
